Christ's Ambassadors

I just wanted to share what God has shown me in His Word today...

2 Corinthians 5:20 (New Living Translation)

²⁰ So we are Christ's ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!"

An Ambassador is a man or women who is sent by their country to serve as a long-term representative in another. So as citizens of the Kingdom of Heaven we know that we are representatives of the Kingdom while we are here on this earth...And we have been given the task of bringing others back into a relationship with Jesus Christ, so that they too may be apart of the Kingdom. (Phil 3:20; 2 Cor 5:18)
What does this mean?...We are sent as represenatives not by our own merit or authority, but by the authority given by Jesus Christ...So we can walk in confidence knowing that it is God who has called us...And it's He who has said that WE ARE QUALIFIED to carry out our assignment as believers...(Mat. 28:18-20; Romans 8:30; Col 1:11-12)
Remember that we are weak in and of ourselves, but our weakness is what allows God to be at His strongest...

2 Corinthians 12:9-10 (New Living Translation)

⁹ Each time he said, "My grace is all you need. My power works best in weakness." So now I am glad to boast about my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ can work through me. ¹⁰ That's why I take pleasure in my weaknesses, and in the insults, hardships, persecutions, and troubles that I suffer for Christ. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

May we trust that God knew what He was doing when He called us to be Ambassadors of His Kingdom!!!
